2. The Service

CoAlign provides tools to support shared parenting coordination, including messaging, calendars, records, and document storage.

CoAlign is a technology platform only and does not provide legal, mediation, or counselling services.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms to use the Service.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining accurate account information and keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create or upload (“User Content”).

By using the Service, you grant CoAlign a limited licence to store, process, and display your content solely to operate and improve the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and share any information, including content relating to children.

6. Shared Information

Content shared within the Service (such as messages, schedules, and documents) is accessible to linked users.

Once shared, CoAlign does not control how other users may retain or use that information.

7. Acceptable Use

You must not use the Service to harass others, upload unlawful content, attempt unauthorised access, or interfere with the platform.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

8. No Professional Advice

The Service does not provide legal or professional advice. Users are responsible for decisions made based on information within the Service.

9. Availability & Data

We aim to provide reliable access but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Data may be affected by maintenance or technical issues.

Users should retain copies of important records where required.

10. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time. Personal data will be removed where feasible, but shared records may remain accessible to other users.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

11. Intellectual Property

All platform content and software (excluding User Content) are owned by CoAlign. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without permission.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, CoAlign is not liable for indirect loss, data loss, disputes between users, or decisions made using the Service.

Use of the Service is at your own risk.

13. Records & Disputes

CoAlign does not verify the accuracy or completeness of user-entered information and is not responsible for how records are interpreted or used.

We do not resolve disputes between users.

14. Legal Requests

We only disclose user information where required by law. Users are responsible for retaining any records they may require.

15. Changes

We may update the Service or these Terms at any time. Continued use indicates acceptance of changes.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Nothing limits rights under applicable consumer laws in Australia or New Zealand.
